Track time with a timer
Right now the hours in your life areas are declared. You set a default per area, and you correct a single day when it was different. A timer turns that around. Start it when you begin, stop it when you are done, and the time lands on that day's area. The rule so far is that finit measures what measures itself, so this one would be a real departure. Upvote it if you want it, and leave a comment about what you would track.
Gentle streaks for days under your average
A streak that counts the days you stayed under your usual screen time — without punishing you when life happens. No fire emoji, no losing everything at midnight. Would this motivate you, or just add pressure?
Search the app list in Trends
The app list in Trends is sorted by time, which is exactly what you want for the top of it. But a normal week can already hold 40 or more apps, and the all-time view holds every app you have ever opened. Looking up one specific app means expanding the list and scrolling past everything above it. A small search field inside the Apps section would fix that: type a name, get that one row. And since the filter would stay put while you page through weeks, you could also use it to follow a single app back through time.
Profile picture
On the friends board you currently see nothing but a display name. Being able to set a profile picture would make the list quicker to scan and a little less anonymous.
A different default for each day of the week
Right now a life area has one default. Work is set to 8 hours and counts those 8 hours on every day in its schedule. Most weeks are not that even. Let every weekday carry its own default, so work can be 9 hours on Monday, 6 on Friday and nothing on the weekend. The same for sleep, sport or anything else that follows a rhythm. The point is to stop correcting the same days by hand week after week.
Lifetime projections for sleep, sport, and other areas
Today the lifetime projection exists only for screen time. Extend the idea: at your current pace, how much of your remaining life goes to sleep, sport, or work?
Assign apps to your life areas
Let an app count toward one of your areas — Teams toward work, Kindle toward reading — so the screen-time slice tells you more about where that time actually went.
Print your life in weeks as a poster
Export the life calendar as a high-resolution image or PDF, made for printing and hanging somewhere you’ll see it every day. Paper is hard to ignore.
More widget options
More choices for the home and lock screen widgets — pick a single life area, a compact life-in-weeks grid, or just the plain number. What’s missing for you?
Alternative app icons
A small set of alternative icons for your home screen — a darker one, a lighter one, maybe monochrome. Which would you actually use?
